After almost showing her body in "American Beauty", Mena Suvari has chosen to take a bolder approach in the thriller movie "Stuck". The indie movie made Suvari to perform topless, revealing her breasts.
According to a source the 29-years-old actress said that she has no problem with nudity performance. The source testified on Mena's performance, saying "She just took her clothes off and got on with it!".
Meanwhile in an interview with Premiere.com, Mena said that the director, Stuart Gordon didn't take a lot of time for the sex scene. "No, not much preparation, really. You know, this film we shot fairly quickly and there was really not a big budget at all. There were a few times where you might have like one or two takes at the most. It was intense. It was challenging, really. I remember saying to Stuart once, 'I can't go from zero to ninety in one second.' I needed a minute and we just didn't have that time, so you kind of just went into it. It was just very intense, the whole ride, really. For [Brandi], everything escalates," she said.
"Stuck" was premiered in United States on May 30 and only in selected theaters. This film gained a moderate success and won the Silver Raven award at the Brussels International Festival of Fantasy for Best Director.
On "Stuck", Mena portrayed Brandi who is a compassionate young retirement-home caregiver in-line for a promotion. Tom who is depicted by Stephen Rea, is a victim of the downsized economy, out of work and newly homeless. Their worlds collide when Brandi, driving home from a club after too many drinks and pills, accidentally hits Tom, the impact smashing his body head-first through her car's windshield
