Fans of R 'n' B crooner Chris Brown will soon have the chance to grab a new exclusive headwear designed exclusively by the singer himself. Chris reportedly has signed a deal with a headwear and apparel maker New Era Cap to design baseball-style caps that will go on sale on August 14.
The company will release 6 out of 10 caps, that have been designed by Chris, through Newera.com, New Era stores and retailer shop Lids with a retail price around $35 to $40. Moreover, reports stated that New Era won't be paying the singer in a flat fee method but they will pay a royalty depending on how much hats sold.
Commenting about the reason they made the deal with Chris, the company's marketing manager Jennifer Yu said, "Usually what we've done with celebrity collaborations has been limited and not intended for the mass market. We saw this as a next step to open up to a larger market." Meanwhile, the Kiss-Kiss singer himself hasn't said any comments yet regarding the deal.
Beside being signed by New Era, earlier Chris has also been tapped by a major bubble gum company Wrigley's to write and sing the jingle for one the company's product the Doublemint. The singer performed the jingle for the first time at a special concert held by Wrigley's in New York on Tuesday, July 29.
