An eyewitness told Daily Mirror, "The officers didn't treat her differently than anyone else. They explained it was against the law and gave her a stern talking-to." According to the source, Kelly became really sad and seemed extremely embarrassed as she was apologizing over and over again. "She wasn't looking for any special treatment despite being famous and accepted the ticket in good grace," the onlooker added.

Moreover, the source explained, "As soon as she got teary, she put on a massive pair of shades and quickly regained her composure." Another source close to the actress confirmed she was stopped, adding "She's really sorry for what happened."

It is widely known that the act of using a cellphone while driving was outlawed in the U.K. in 2003 and offenders face three penalty points on their license and an 80 pounds fine.
