Lindsay Lohan's father Michael Lohan says he's not ready if his daughter is getting married with her lesbian lover Samantha Ronson.
It has just been reported that
Lindsay Lohan and her lesbian lover Samantha Ronson are getting married at a private ceremony in Los Angeles later this year. However, if the rumors are true, the actress' father Michael Lohan seems to refuse to give his approval to them, insisting that he's not ready for a gay wedding.
Michael claimed he didn't know any single detail concerning Lindsay and Samantha's wedding plan, saying "I haven't heard anything (about an upcoming wedding) from Lindsay." He also think that her famous daughter doesn't want him to be involved in her impending wedding. "But if she was marrying Sam, I don't think she'd ask me to walk her down the aisle. She knows about my (Christian) faith...she just wouldn't ask," Michael explained.
However, it doesn't mean that Michael doesn't support Lindsay and her gay romance with Ronson. He just supports her in more indirect ways. "I want her to be happy and healthy and stay on the right path. If I discuss (her relationship), I say that I want her to be happy," the father said.
Rumors about a possible wedding bell for Lindsay and Samantha emerged after a source told News of the World that mother Dina Lohan would like to "welcome Samantha into the family" with a lavish do, including drinks and canapes for Lindsay's friends and relatives.
"Dina is still working on the date of the party but it's looking like towards the end of the year. Lindsay's new album Spirit In The Dark is out in November, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's around then. They've been keeping the relationship quiet for months and trying to pass each other off as 'just good friends'. But they've decided it isn't a fling, it's for life - so they want to make their romance public," News of the World quoted a source as saying.
