Zac Efron Is Tired of Clean Image

"High School Musical" hunk Zac Efron may be tired of playing innocent roles. The 20-year-old Zac Efron has said that he wants to look for dark or comedy roles in the future. "I'm looking for something new and exciting to do. I want to do something dark or a comedy," Zac told the Daily Star.

Zac believes there will be other different roles for him because he wants to try something new and exciting. "There's tons of icons that I would love to work with on something new and exciting," said the "Hairspray" star. The 20-year-old also wants her fans to know that he's grown up, saying "I want people to see that I have grown up and moved on."

Meanwhile, Zac will reprise his role as Troy Bolton in upcoming movie "High School Musical 3: Senior Year". The flick is slated for theatrical release on October 24, 2008. He is also set to star in Paramount's musical remake of the film "Footloose".
