After four days getting stuck in the hospital, finally Morgan Freeman can see the outside world again. According to People, the star has been released from a Tennessee hospital on August 7 and he was in good condition. "I left the hospital today just after 12 noon, Memphis time," Freeman said. "I'm doing very well. I feel real good. I just really, I thank the staff at 'Elvis Presley [Hospital]' and many, many thanks to my many well-wishers. It's great to know people care about you."
Freeman was hospitalized after he and a female passenger, Demaris Meyer, were involved in a car wreck in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi, on August 3. The actor drove a "1997 Nissan Maxima" which belonged to Meyer. Unfortunatelly the car went off the edge of the road and flipped several times. Due to the accident the Oscar winning actor has broken arm, broken elbow and minor shoulder damage. Thus he underwent surgery for about 4 hours the following day to reconnect his body.
Ken Sunshine who is Freeman's spokeperson, says that eventhough "The Dark Knight" star needs recovery, his career is still going on. "He's recovering nicely at home, and his career will continue as planned," he said.
Freeman's attorney, Bill Luckett added that he will have to wear a neck brace for six months to a year and that makes the actor postpones his hobby, playing golf. "The doctors have said it will be six months to a year before he plays golf again. He hates that," he said.
