Disney princess Selena Gomez wouldn't follow in the footsteps of fellow teen star Miley Cyrus, who has just released a solo album. The actress, who stars in hit kids show "The Wizards of Waverly Place", has told MTV that she's going to be a apart of a band for her debut album.
The 16-year-old girl revealed she doesn't want to create her own sound alone. She even doesn't want her name to be attached to it. "I'm going to be in a band - no Selena Gomez stuff. I'm not going to be a solo artist. I think that I don't want my name attached to it," Selena told MTV.
Further, the star explained that the album will have a pop/rock feel. Selena also plans to play instruments on some of the album's tracks. She said, "I basically want to make music that is fun and that parents and kids can jump around to and have a good time to. I will be singing, and I'm learning drums and playing electric guitar."
And it seems that Selena has a lot of plans for her music career. She dreams to take a backseat at times during live gigs. "I would like to try it and kind of switch it up. When I do the tour and stuff, I would like to do maybe a section on the piano or on guitar or on drums," she revealed.
