Daddy Matthew McConaughey said that the birth of his son Levi Alves McConaughey may help bring a little joy to others in the world someday. The "Fool's Gold" star has reportedly kept the infant's placenta and plans to plant it in an orchard. He hopes it will help fertilize the land.
"That's fertile ground, so to speak. So we're gonna plant. It's gonna be in the orchards and it's gonna bear some wonderful fruit," the actor told CNN's "House Call with Dr. Sanjay Gupta". "When I was in Australia, they had a placenta tree that was on the river...and all the placentas of all that tribe, all that clan, whatever aboriginal tribe that was, all the placentas went under that one tree and it was this huge behemoth of just health and strength," added the 38-year-old referring to the ritual he's adopted.
Matthew further claimed, "This tree was just growing taller and stronger above the rest of Mother Nature around it. It was gorgeous." His interview with CNN is set to be aired in two parts; on Saturday, August 9 at first then on Saturday, August 16.
The actor has recently introduced Levi to the world as he and model girlfriend Camila Alves took him to a John Mellencamp concert. The 1-month-old baby tasted his first ever red carpet debut when his parents brought him for Muxo handbag launch party at Kitson boutique on Robertson Boulevard on Thursday, August 7.
