Actor and comedian Bernie Mac passed away because of complications with pneumonia on August 9.
The world has just missed a talented comedian on Saturday morning, August 9. Actor Bernie Mac left the world at 50 because of complication with pneumonia.
The "Ocean's Eleven" trilogy star was admitted into the Northwestern Memorial hospital on August 1 and expected to fully recover, his daughter, Je'niece Childress said Sunday, August 10, to Associated Press. But Childress also said that as time passed by she and her mother given up with his condition. "Initially when he was hospitalized we expected him to come back home, but as the weeks went on, I kind of knew," Childress said.
In 2005, Mac revealed about his battle with his disease. The actor has suffered from a disease known as sarcoidosis which is an inflammatory disease that can have an impact on any organ in the human body. However according to Mac's publicist, Danica Smith, his tragedy was not related to this disease.
The death of the "King of Comedy" also raised sympathy from his co-star in Ocean's trilogy. "The world just got a little less funny," said
George Clooney to E! "He will be dearly missed."
Brad Pitt added in a statement to E! Online,
"I lament the loss of a ferociously funny and hardcore family man. My thoughts are with [Mac's wife] Rhonda and their family."
"Losing him is like losing 12 people because he absolutely filled up any room he was in," said actor and comedian
Chris Rock. "I'm gonna miss the Mac Man."
Don Cheadle who played as Basher Tarr in "Ocean's Eleven", felt sad about this tragedy, saying
"This is a very sad day for many of us who knew and loved Bernie. He brought so much joy to so many. He will be missed, but heaven just got funnier."
