Guy Ritchie has his own way to show his love to wife
Madonna. The 39-year-old husband was said to have secretly commissioned graffiti artist Banksy to paint a portrait of the pop diva for her 50th birthday. It will be a special gift for the singer who is said to be a big fan of the secretive artist.
Reportedly, the artwork could cost up to 1 million dollars. However, Guy is desperate for the work to be finished in time for Madonna's lavish birthday party next Saturday, August 16. "Guy's been feeling the pressure to get this right. He knows one of her passions is art and came up with the Banksy plan. He reckons Madonna will be blown away by the masterpiece which he hopes will arrive by next weekend," a source told Britain's News of The World newspaper.
Meanwhile, the "Like a Virgin" singer is flying from New York to Britain for the birthday bash next weekend. Guests expected to attend the party at Madonna and Guy's Wiltshire mansion include,
Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin, and
Sting. The couple allegedly also invite
Tom Cruise and wife
Katie Holmes,
Cameron Diaz and
Orlando Bloom.
Madonna previously also gave a special present to her hubby. The 49-year-old singer has bought him a 25,000 dollars BMW motorcycle and sidecar that he really wants to have since years ago. "Madonna took time to find out what would really wow Guy. Then it dawned on her. He told her years ago that he'd always wanted one of those WW-II-era bikes. So she had her assistant track one down," a source said.
