Hayden Panettiere's dad was arrested because he hit his spouse's cheek and caused noticable bruising.

Hayden Panettiere apperently being hit with serious family problem. Her father, Alan Panettiere, was arrested on Monday, August 11 due to suspicion of spousal abuse.
Alan was arrested around 3 A.M. local time at his house in West Hollywood and he was booked on a charge of felony domectic violence. However he has been released after he gave $50,000 bail.
The problem started after Hayden's parents went home after the party for the Whaleman Foundation at Beso restaurant owned by
Eva Longoria. According to TMZ sources, Alan felt that his wife, Leslie Panettiere didn't respect him because she was hanging with unidentified individual at the party.
Thus, the couple who were drunk began fighting and Alan couldn't control his emotion. He then hit Leslie's cheek which caused noticeable bruising. A source told People, "When they were both about to leave, they had a heated argument outside the restaurant. They were doing a good amount of yelling."
Leslie called the police and the police took her statement. Due to her bruises, paramedics advised her to go to the hospital to cure her injuries, but she rejected.
