Actress Tori Spelling has apparently changed her mind about returning to "Beverly Hills, 90210" as Donna Martin. A representative for the 35-year-old actress told Us Weekly that Tori has no plans to appear in the 90210 spin-off. "At this time, there are no plans for Tori to appear in the 90210 spin-off," her rep revealed.
Reports claimed that Tori has pulled out because she would not be getting the same paycheck as her former costars Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty. According to Deadline Hollywood Daily, she was brought on to the new "90210" for $10,000-$20,000 per episode. Meanwhile, Shannen and Jennie are reportedly bringing in $35,000-$50,000 per episode.
After finding out the difference in salary, the "Kiss the Bride" star reportedly demanded a paycheck equal to her former co-stars. However, the network was said to refuse it. "She thought she deserved parity, and she's got a point," an insider told DeadlineHollywoodDaily.com.
The CW previously announced Tori's involvement with the new show as a guest star. When the actress was asked about the new version, she told Us Weekly that she's "excited about it." "In some way, every show that followed 90210 was a remake of 90210. For the fans' sake, I am really happy for them," she added.
