It seems that Ellen DeGeneres will marry her girlfriend Portia de Rossi in a short time from now. Reportedly, the lesbian couple will tie the knot this weekend in California.
It's Us Weekly that has exclusively learned about Ellen and Portia's wedding ceremony. The pair are reported to be planning a small, intimate ceremony. Only a few close friends and family that will be invited to the ceremony, according to Us Weekly.
Ellen previously revealed she and her girlfriend have set a wedding date, saying that Portia has already had a ring. "Yes, we have set a wedding date. Portia has a ring. It's a Neil Lane ring," she told reporters backstage at the Kodak Theatre, on June 20. Expressing her feeling about the upcoming wedding, the 50-year-old host said, "How do I feel about it? I obviously feel like it's long overdue. I think someday people will look back on this like women not having the right to vote and segregation and anything else that seems ridiculous that we don't all have the same rights."
Ellen also revealed she planned to take Portia's mother from Australia for the wedding ceremony. She further said that arranging a nuptials is not easy. "Planning a wedding is very stressful. It's crazy. My gardener is now invited," she joked.
