Christian Bale, who reportedly hit his mom and sister in late June before attending the "The Dark Knight" premiere, is freed from alleged assault charge. Since there was not enough evidence, Britain's Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) asked police not to continue the case. CPS spokesman said, "There is insufficient evidence to build a realistic prospect of conviction." He added, "Whilst the CPS treats all incidents which take place in a domestic context seriously, it is important that the views of complainants are also taken into account when making decisions in such cases."
Bale's spokeswoman, Jennifer Allen, noted that he had "always denied the allegations made against him and is relieved that this issue has been resolved". And she went on "Contrary to various press reports, Mr Bale has not been cautioned or charged at all."
Bale apparently felt a bit fed up with the news about him on the media. Therefore, Jennifer hoped the media can respect his privacy, saying "Mr Bale considers this to be a deeply personal matter and would ask that the media respect both his and his family's privacy."
Bale was reported by his mother Jenny, 61, and sister Sharon, 40, for alleged assault. They said that the actor lashed out at them during his stay at Dorchester hotel. And they allegedly asked him for 100,000 euro.
