Due to the fact that his name doesn't guarantee box-office success, Tom Cruise apparently wants to end his acting career.
Shocking news comes from Hollywood senior star
Tom Cruise. After almost 25 years working in acting industry, he has been reported to have been wanting to end his acting career. According to reports, the actor feels depressed for his falling popularity.
"He can no longer command top fees for his movies as his name isn't a guarantee of box-office success anymore and that's hit his confidence hard," a source explained. "So much so that he even considered giving up acting at one point."
The fact that Tom isn't an idol anymore influences his marriage with wife,
Katie Holmes. The beauty reportedly wants to take over the family. The rumors appear after she didn't attend Scientology Celebrity Centre's 39th Anniversary Gala in Los Angeles on August 9.
After that, Tom and Katie attended the premiere of "
Tropic Thunder" on August 11 and the couple's appearance looked unsuitable at that time. "Tom was clinging to Katie, which is no surprise she's been his rock these past few months. At the premiere, they seemed mismatched. Katie looked every inch the glamorous starlet, while Tom looked needy, diminished and much older. It remains to be seen whether their marriage can weather this storm," a source said.
