Puerto Rican singing sensation, Ricky Martin, is having twin boys via surrogate mother a few week ago.
After saying to USA Today newspaper last year that he wanted to adopt a child from every continent and create a "family of many colors", it looks like
Ricky Martin's hope comes into reality. And for the first time the Latin superstar becomes daddy of twin boys.
It has been confirmed that Ricky has twins via surrogate mother and the babies were born a few weeks ago. "The children, delivered via gestational surrogacy, are healthy and already under Ricky's full-time care," said his rep.
His rep further explained that the new dad will endure his hectic schedule due to his babies, saying "Ricky is elated to begin this new chapter in his life as a parent and will be spending the remainder of the year out of the public spotlight in order to spend time with his children."
However there hasn't been any information from Ricky's rep about details of the twins, neither the time they were born nor the woman who conceived them.
Ricky, who isn't married, has founded the Ricky Martin Foundation in Puerto Rico, campaigning for the welfare of children around the world. The 36-year-old singer is also a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
