Entrepreneurial singer Jessica Simpson has expanded her business once again. This time, the pop singer who goes country has gone into the beer business. Teaming up with Dallas' Stampede Brewing Company, the 28-year-old has signed to become the new face of Stampede Light Plus.
"(Jessica's) the face of the brand now," Stampede's president and chief executive Lawrence Schwartz said. The "I Wanna Love You Forever" singer is not only the new face of the brand, but also part owner of the beer. She is reportedly holding a 15 percent stake in the brand.
Talking about the deal, Jessica said in a statement, "As an entrepreneur, I am always looking for ways to diversify my portfolio with good ideas and good people." "Yes, I work out and take care of myself, but I also like a cold beer once in a while," added the girlfriend of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.
In her new ad for the beer, Jessica is featured as a real country girl. She wears full cowgirl uniform with cowgirl hat and bales of hay.
