Happy news comes from Matt Damon. After he gave statement to USA Today in July that he and his wife, Luciana Bozan Barroso, are expecting baby girl again, the couple welcomed the baby girl at Memorial Regional Hospital in South Florida on August 20.
Matt's rep Jennifer Allen broke the news, saying "Matt and Lucy Damon had a baby girl named Gia Zavala on Wednesday, Aug. 20th. Everyone's doing great." She even added that the newly born daughter is in good condition. "She is a healthy baby girl," she explained.
Matt is considered as a "phenomenal" father. His friend, George Clooney, commented to People last year that the star is a kind of family man. "He absolutely adores those kids. He's doing it really well," he explained.
Matt currently is busy with his upcoming thriller movie, which is still untitled, and after that the actor is planning to take some time off for his family. "[I'm] taking the rest of the year off," he told USA Today. "I'm just hanging out with my family."
Gia is the second daughter of Matt and Luciana. The couple's first daughter named Isabella was born on June 11, 2006. Luciana also has another daughter named Alexia from her previous relationship before she married Damon in 2005.
