Swimmers Amanda Beard and Michael Phelps apparently have a lot of time together in Beijing during Olympics Games. Their togetherness sparked rumor that they are dating. However, she denies it, jokingly said dating him is nasty.
Amanda appeared on an interview with a radio show in Beijing, Johnjay and Rich Show, which is aired on Kiss FM 104.7 in Phoenix on August 20. During the interview, she noted that she isn't interested to date Michael, saying "Eww, that's nasty." She continued, "Come on, I have really good taste, he's really not my type, personally. I go for a little bit different-looking guys." She even added that she isn't interested to hold his hands or kiss him.
On the other hand, after hearing Amanda's opinion, Michael issued his own denial on the dating rumor, telling TV show Extra in an interview, "I'm not dating Amanda Beard. I'll say that. I think she has a boyfriend." He went on adding, "We don't even talk to each other."
Michael furthermore explained that he is not interested dating anyone. "Part of my life is kept to myself. I'm able to relax and be with my friends. Those pretty much are the only people who really know the answer to that question," he stated.
