Ex-Beau Calum Best: Lindsay Lohan Is 'Better Than She Was'

Lindsay Lohan has split from ex-boyfriend Calum Best after a summer romance. But after meeting up with the 22-year-old in Hollywood, the ex-beau shared his impression about the actress. The 27-year-old hunk insisted he and Lindsay are friends.

Calum told Life & Style magazine that his ex-girlfriend is "better than she was." "She's a cool girl and she's better than she was, because, at one point, she was in a bad way," said the British model. About Lindsay's relationship with DJ Samantha Ronson, he joked, "I hope I didn't turn her!"

But he wishes the "Just My Luck" star "all the best with whatever she does." "And, if she's with a girl, then good for her. In this day and age, it's all good," added Calum who is back in Hollywood, shooting a reality TV show.

Lindsay had been dating Calum just before she entered Promises rehab in Malibu, California for addiction issues back in 2007. She was dumped by the model because he didn't like her being sober. "Calum called Lindsay last week and said he was finding her post-rehab existence dull and that he didn't want to give up partying. He loves Lindsay but he's simply not in the same place anymore," a source told Daily Star.
