Scarlett Johansson reportedly has delayed her wedding with actor Ryan Reynolds because the special day will clash with the elections of United States president, which will take place in November 2008. The actress-singer wants to focus on the elections first before she begins her family life with Reynolds.
Johansson admitted to delay the wedding ceremony because her twin brother Hunter is busy with Barack Obama's campaign. According to a source, who spoke to British's Daily Express, Hunter "is working all the time so Scarlett wants to hold off until the election is over."
Johansson is known as a Democrat. In 2004 presidential elections, she supported John Kerry. Then Obama is the next president candidate she wants for the next years. She campaigned for the Democratic presidential candidate on January 2, 2008, in Iowa with younger voters as her target. On May 8, she has been reported donating $2,300 to the Obama campaign.
Johansson becomes famous after playing as Grace MacLean in "The Horse Whisperer" in 1998. Meanwhile, she is waiting her new movie "He's Just Not That Into You" to be released in 2009. In addition to acting, she also has started a singing career. She released her debut album "Anywhere I Lay My Head" in May.
