Some people may think Zac Efron is charming and a bright young actor, but he used to be far from popular at school. Since he was never seen as a hot dude, the actor even revealed that the girls didn't list him as a man who they wanted to attract or to date with.
It was gossip website Stv.tv which broke the news. "I didn't get much attention from chicks. I was the short kid in high school," Zac admitted. "I was, like, 5ft 6in. But as soon as I left and started working then I started to grow up a little bit. I wasn't really the cool guy or the skater dude."
Zac furthermore explained that he really focused to study at school. He went on saying, "I had a group of friends but we weren't like a clique or anything like that. I tried really hard, I got good grades and I was in advanced classes. If you had to call me something you'd probably call me a nerd."
Being well known to young audiences after playing Troy Bolton in Disney's TV and movie, the "High School Musical", Zac even admitted that he didn't really over the moon with heartthrob title and unlike the other famous stars he confessed that he didn't like partying. He then admitted, "It's OK. Luckily, it's not something I really have to deal with too much. I suppose I would be an OK role model. I don't do much wrong - I'm not really into the Hollywood party scene."
