Hollywood beauty Cameron Diaz, known for her role in "Charlie's Angels", has proven that she can become a hero in real life, at least for a puppy. The actress has rescued an injured dog she found in her neighborhood.
Diaz reportedly came across a lone German shepherd near her home on Saturday afternoon, August 23. The "What Happens in Vegas" star took the dog back to her Hollywood home and then returned it to its owner. "Cameron and a friend were involved in returning an injured dog to its owner," a rep for the actress told People.
The 35-year-old beauty was said to care for the puppy at her house while her assistant posted the notices about the found dog. "Diaz brought the dog in her house and gave it some food and water," a source said. "Her assistant posted a 'found German shepherd' sign and (the dog's owner) - Diaz's neighbor who was driving around the area - came across it."
Following the rescue, the owner took the dog to the vet for medical attention. And Diaz "made time to visit the vet where the dog was being treated," added the source.
