Kate Hudson Accused of Stealing Haircare Idea
While 's love life apparently is dying down, the beauty is being hit with another serious problem. She was accused by 220 Labs' bosses of stealing secret substances of hair product.

According to a complaint filed Friday, August 22, in Los Angeles Superior Court, bosses of 220 Labs haircare company accused Kate and her hair guru David Babaii for 17 cases including fraud, misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of contract, breach of confidence and a host of other not-so-nice allegations. They even revealed that the actress created her own product using a sample that they gave to her and even promoted it through U.S. cable shopping channel Home Shopping Network in July.

220 Labs and Kate have agreed to develop a haircare product, "Vanuatu Complex," in August 2006. However, their contract was just an oral contract and no one signed any paper. A few months later, the similar product came out with lower price. The 220 Labs' bosses pointed out Kate to have stolen their idea and sold it to other manufacturer since the products have similar design and substance.

"Kate and her attorneys are only just learning of the complaint, as Kate has not yet been served," Kate's publicist Brad Cafarelli said. "Kate does not know the plaintiffs and has never met with them or spoken with them. Her representatives believe that the claims are baseless and without merit and intend to vigorously defend the lawsuit."
