Jennifer Hudson to Sing in Barack Obama Convention
Talented singer and actress seems to be feeling over the moon after she is chosen to sing in front of president candidate Barack Obama during a democratic party. A representative for Obama exclusively asks the former 'American Idol' contestant to sing national anthem "The Star-Spangled Banner" at the Democratic National Convention on Thursday night, August 28. The event will be held in Denver Colorado.

Hudson's representative reveals to People, saying "His reps called and said we'd love for you to sing the anthem on Thursday, she's thrilled and excited. It's a tremendous honor." However, there hasn't been any comment from the DNC until the official schedule is announced.

As for Hudson, she revealed to a source in June that she wanted to show her ability to please her favorite president candidate, Obama. "I sang for Obama after I did Idol," Hudson stated. "I'm so proud and excited for him. I haven't gotten a call from them yet, but he does have my support."

Besides Hudson, there will be a lot of Hollywood stars who will support Obama. They are , , , , , , Dave Matthews, , Spike Lee, , and Annete Bening. Meanwhile, is chosen to close the event.
