Michael Bolton might sing the romantic song "Love is A Wonderful Thing". But his love life with actress Nicollette Sheridan is not as wonderful as his hit. It was confirmed that both of them decided to call off their engagement of more than two year.
A representative for Sheridan, Nicole Perna, exclusively broke the news on Tuesday, August 26 to People. "Nicollette Sheridan and Michael Bolton have amicably ended their engagement," she explained. "They appreciate your respect for their privacy in this matter."
Michael and the "Desperate Housewives" actress have been having an on-off relationship. The two broke up after had been dating for 5 years since 1992. After that they rekindled their romance in 2005 and in March 2006 Bolton revealed his engagement with the beauty. The 55-year-old singer even expressed his happiness having Sheridan as his fiancee. "Nicollette and I are very serious about each other," he told New York Daily News in January 2006. "I am very committed. It is a very special time in my life. I have a good feeling about the future." However, even the two haven't set the wedding date yet, they live together as a couple in Westport, Connecticut.
Either Bolton or Sheridan has been married once before. He married Maureen McGuire from 1995 to1990 and they have three children, they are Isa, Holly and Taryn. As for Sheridan, she was Harry Hamlin's wife from September 7, 1991 until 1993.
