Matthew McConaughey's mom Kay McConaughey writes about her life in new release book "I Amaze Myself!". In the book, Kay shares about how her husband, Jim McConaughey, passed away while they were making love.
"On Monday mornings, he and I often said goodbye by making love. But one day, all of a sudden, it just happened," Kay reveals to US Weekly. "I knew that something was wrong, because I didn't hear anything from him. Just nothing." Even though Kay felt sad, she still has a big heart to accept the fact. "But it was just the best way to go!"
After Jim was pronounced dead, Kay wanted the paramedics taking him out of the house in the nude. "I was just so proud to show off my big old Jim McConaughey and his gift," she says.
Apart from Jim, Kay expresses her happiness while she conceived Matthew. She said the actor was a great gift after she married Jim for the third time. She gushes, "I was deciding, 'Do I want to have another baby? Do I want to have an affair? Or go back to school? That's when Matthew was conceived. We had tried for 16 years and no baby. So Matthew was a big surprise!".
Kay, who once revealed she would love to be on Oprah Winfrey's show, also states that she wants to give a percentage of the sale of each book to charity. The mother is an active member in The Children's Advocacy Center and Family Outreach and even actively joins local shelter to help abused and battered women.
