Becoming a famous star, Nicole Scherzinger has fear of paparazzi. She stated that she is afraid of the possibility that they would take photographs of her underwear. The singer, who is the member of The Pussycat Dolls, acknowledged that she and her bandmates are all so "scared" that a photographer might try to put a camera under their dresses. She said, "The UK is the first place we were warned about under-dress shots. We've been scared ever since."
Therefore, Scherzinger and her friends always try to keep on guard while going out. However, the star knew that it is famous person's risk to be followed by paparazzi. That is why she accepted it as part of her being-famous-job. She, however, stated that she must plan ahead to deal with the attention.
Scherzinger told Britain's Now magazine, "It bothers me because I didn't get into the industry for that. But you just have to plan stuff out." She added to the magazine that it is actually not "the attention" she wants "to get." Nevertheless, she admitted, "Sometimes you just have to realize that it's a part of what you do and embrace it and make sure you're poised to represent yourself the best way you can."
Recently, Scherzinger stated that she was afraid of reading newspapers or magazines. She refused to read them because she was worried that they can destroy her romance with F1 racer Lewis Hamilton. She admitted that she became upset with the untrue reports that they split up. She said, "We used to read stuff and then we'd get scared and ask each other 'Did we break up yesterday?' It's hard enough to have a relationship in this industry without having the press involved too."
However, Scherzinger acknowledged that she and Hamilton get used to the "attention" from media. She said, "Lots of stars complain about it but you know, it's part of the job - we both have successful careers.... I have learned so much from him [Hamilton] on how to make it through."
