Selena Gomez Willing to Be the U.S. President's WifeIt will be two more years before she can legally vote in the U.S. Presidential Election, but has already promoted the UR Votes Count campaign to younger voters. Being very vocal about the issue, she suggested fans to start voting, even though she herself will not vote this year because she is "not old enough" for it.

Ensuring people that she will vote once she is legal, she thus is getting involved in the campaign as she wants to know much about political issues. She acknowledged that if she does not try to "learn" about them and even keeps "pushing the subject away," she will not know what she will do when she is "eligible to vote."

Despite her young age, which is 16, the Disney singer-actress, who plays as Alex Russo in Disney's children situation comedy "Wizards of Waverly Place," is already interested in important political topics. The star said that the big political issue she is interested in is the environment, especially climate change. She commented that many young persons still have lack of information about the issue.

Gomez said, "You walk up to kids today and you ask them about global warming and issues like that, and half of them look at you and think, 'What's that?'" She admitted that their lack of information is a sad fact to be faced. She continued, "You know, they don't know what's going on and what's going to happen if we don't start working on this issue now."

Being asked about her future in politics, Gomez stated that she does not rule anything out. Nevertheless, she has an imagination of becoming the U.S. president's wife someday. She said, "Being the first lady would be fun. I would try to make fashion involved with the first lady. I would make it fun."
