Winning eight gold medals at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing has made U.S. swimmer Michael Phelps become a most wanted guy for Hollywood beauties. After country beauty Carrie Underwood who is reportedly planning a "quiet first date" with him, now Lindsay Lohan has reportedly been pleading with the Olympic champion for a date.
The 22-year-old beauty, who is rumored to be romancing DJ Samantha Ronson, have allegedly bombarded Phelps with calls and text messages. Lindsay was said to have been asking him to take her out. The 23-year-old swimmer have reportedly received several calls from the troubled actress as he sat with pals in a hotel in London on Tuesday, August 26. He showed some of her texts to his friends, saying "It's Lindsay. It's Lindsay."
According to reports, Lindsay started sending messages to Phelps more than two weeks ago. At that time, the eight-time Olympic gold medal winner was competing in Beijing. But the "Mean Girls" has stopped ringing after she got no response from Phelps.
"At first he thought it was a joke when she got in touch. But she's since been phoning and texting constantly," a source told Daily Mirror. "It's become a running joke in his camp. Lindsay has been trying to meet up with him. They're both going to the MTV Video Music Awards next month so they'll be sure to see each other properly then."
