Reports claiming Jamie Lynn Spears has given a baby gift to vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin's pregnant daughter are apparently untrue. Mom Lynne Spears has blasted the reports that her daughter has sent gifts to Bristol Palin.
Spears' rep to E! News that Jamie indeed supports the pregnant teen, but she hasn't sent any gift to her.
"I just got off the phone with Lynne. I can tell you that she hasn't sent her any gifts, but that she does support Sarah and, of course, can empathize with their situation," the rep revealed to E!.
Jamie has recently been reported to have sent Bristol a gift from Beverly Hills baby store Petit Tresor on behalf of her. The actress' mom is the one who reportedly called about the gift and requested it from her daughter.
"It was ordered by phone, and they asked what could be done for under $100. They spent $60 on pink burpcloths," revealed an insider. The store's rep even told ABC News that she included a note that read, "Dear Bristol, Hang in there... xoxo, Jamie Lynn."
