Channing Tatum Proposes to Girlfriend Jenna Dewan

Channing Tatum wants to take his relationship with girlfriend Jenna Dewan to the next level. The actor proposed to the actress in a surprise party on Friday, September 5, in Maui. His proposal reportedly was witnessed by some close pals.

Tatum invited his and Dewan's close friends to the island to witness his proposal in order to surprise her, People magazine reported. During the party, he popped the question to her in front of the guests. He reportedly presented a ring by Neil Lane to her. He also has choreographed the proposal by himself. But, no details about the engagement party nor a future wedding have been disclosed.

Tatum and Dewan first met on the set of the 2006 dance movie "Step Up," in which they became co-stars. They began dating in the end of filming. Nevertheless, the couple were unwilling to give information about their relationship.

Previously, Tatum has revealed to People about his dream girl. He admitted that he would be willing to date a fun girl, "who doesn't take herself too seriously and can be a goofball." And when he was asked about Dewan, he simply replied, "She's so incredibly sweet."
