"Harry Potter" star Emma Watson has reportedly splashed out 1 million pounds on a fashionable French ski chalet.

Emma Watson is said to be worth 10 million pounds. The 18-year-old girl has reportedly gained control of her finances on her 18th birthday in April and decided to buy a French ski chalet for 1 million pounds.
Emma has splashed out her money on the chalet in the popular resort of Meribel, France. "The house is Emma's way of celebrating her excellent exam results at school and finally getting her hands on some of her hard-earned cash," said a source.
"She worked really hard this year and didn't have much of a birthday party so this was her present to herself," the source revealed. The actress is now reported to be planning to renovate the property. When the work is complete, Emma wants to throw a lavish housewarming party there.
"Emma has received some pretty sound advice about money," added the source. "She always wanted a ski chalet and she's having a great time doing it up. She's looking forward to having friends to stay."
Emma was born in Paris, France and lived there until she's five. The actress, who is known for her role as Hermione Granger in popular film franchise "Harry Potter", is also said to be fluent in French.
