Josh Hartnett Sues British Tabloid Over Hotel Sex Claims
is about taking a British tabloid to court for alleging he had a "sexual dalliance" in the library of a London hotel. The actor is reportedly seeking damages for defamation over the Daily Mirror's story.

Josh's legal team revealed that the allegations were "not only untrue but a complete fabrication" but also "defamatory and unsubstantiated". The "Pearl Harbor" star himself even spoke onITV1's GMTV, calling the report "rubbish".

"It's incredible the stories they (the British newspapers) come out with. In the States at least they have to make a call to a representative and try to make a reality out of the situation. Over here (in Brittain) they just make things up," the 30-year-old continued. "(The paper said) there was a rumor about a video. But how can you have a rumor about a video? It would be on the Internet (by) now."

The Daily Mirror had claimed Josh was caught on CCTV having sex with a unidentified woman at the Soho hotel's library. The hotel staff had reportedly seen the tryst and the actor was also said to have received a verbal warning from the staff. "Their every spit and cough was recorded, and cringing hotel workers saw all of Josh's X-rated moves," the tabloid quoted a source as saying.
