Mischa Barton and her beau Taylor Locke could not be maintained anymore. She reportedly split from the Rooney's guitarist on September 5, shortly before their seven-month anniversary.
According to an insider, who spoke to U.S. magazine In Touch Weekly, it was the Hollywood actress who decided to end their relationship. The couple have just returned home from a three-week safari and charity trip to Africa. The insider revealed that their togetherness during the trip seemed to lead their downfall.
The insider explained that spending closely 24 hours a day with Taylor caused the 22-year-old star to rethink of their relationship. "They fought almost every day on the trip," the insider said, adding "she broke up with him just a few days after they returned to L.A."
The source revealed that Mischa and Taylor, who have been dating for about six months, didn't spend so much time together because of their busy work schedules, saying "Mischa and Taylor's romance worked for a while because they spent so much time apart. He'd be on tour or she'd be working in Europe and they talked over the phone or by email." Being asked on how often the couple met, the source simply replied, "they'd only see each other for a few days at a time."
