Mario Lopez has reportedly promised to stop taking off his shirt for photo shoots. The former "Saved by the Bell" star said he will no longer show off his ripped body because he's desperate to be taken seriously as a TV journalist.
Mario told People magazine, "My shirtless photo-shoot days are behind me." The actor insisted his health is the important thing. "Obviously, being healthy and staying fit are important to me," he said.
And now the 34-year-old hunk is happy hosting Extra on his own. "My TV projects are my main priority," he revealed. Mario also promised he'll never go shirtless while hosting the show, saying "And no, you will never see me host Extra without a shirt."
Mario has been chosen to replace co-hosts Mark McGrath and Dayna Devon as the new solo host of Extra. The producers announced on July 28 that he will take over Mark and Dayna's job once the show returns for its 15th season on September 15. "Mario ... has established himself as a highly engaging, likeable and sought-after host and personality," president of Telepictures Productions, Hilary Estey McLoughlin, said in a statement.
