Miley Cyrus Heading to the Big Screen for Nicholas Sparks' Adaptation
Miley Cyrus has been tapped by Disney to star in their new novel adaptation from bestselling author Nicholas Sparks.
Teen sensation is slated to star in a new Disney film. According to Variety, the mouse house has tapped the teen actress to topline in an untitled film, which will be developed by bestselling author Nicholas Sparks.

Sparks is reportedly writing an untitled novel and simultaneously working on a screenplay adaptation for the flick. It will be produced by Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot from Disney-based Offspring Entertainment. Miley's mom Tish Cyrus will serve as the executive producer.

"This is similar to the way it's gone with movies based on my novels; it's just out of order," the author of "A Walk to remember" revealed. "Certain opportunities garner your interest, and this was one of those."

Sparks added the "Hannah Montana" star and her family "were very familiar with the work I've done in the past. That played a role in this project coming together." The plot for Sparks' adaptation film is tightly under wraps, but the daughter of will reportedly not be singing in the movie.
