It appears that actress Kate Hudson really enjoys becoming a mother for her son Ryder Russell, 4, whom she has with her rocker star ex-husband Chris Robinson. She admitted that she often sees Ryder doing his hobbies on music, especially rapping.
"Well, he [Ryder] loves to dance. He loves music. It's in his blood," Kate told Parade magazine when she was asked whether her son is displaying the family talent. Revealing her kid's music choice, the actress said, "he's really into rap music and hard rock. It's so funny because while I like rap it's not really what Chris and I would listen to around the house. But my kid just loves it." She further explained, "it makes him feel cool. I see his little face and all of a sudden he thinks he's cool."
Kate also revealed that her son and family keep her centered. "I'm fortunate that between movies I can just dedicate all of my time to my son. That makes it easier to take the days that I'm working 18 hours and feeling guilty about not being able to be home and be a mother. All in all, I think it's a pretty good balance," she told the magazine.
Finding out her son's talent, Kate however insisted she doesn't want him to be a star, especially actor. "I wouldn't want Ryder to be a child actor," she stated. The 29-year-old beauty even added, "he might be interested in the arts, but for me personally, I don't think it's a good thing to ... put your children into at too young of an age."
