Selena Gomez Says No to 'Sex and the City', Miley Cyrus Wanted for Prequel
It seems that really doesn't want to follow her fellow Disney star . While the "Hannah Montana" cutie revealed she would love to star in TV series-turned-feature film "", the 16-year-old girl is not interested in landing role in the HBO show.

"That's not really the audience I'm going for," Selena told E! News at the Teen Vogue Young Hollywood party at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art on Thursday, September 18. "I mean, my mom loves the show and it's a very popular show, but that's not the direction I'm looking to take at this time."

And Harper Collins just announced earlier this week that "Sex and the City" author Candace Bushnell signed a deal to pen two young-adult novels focusing on the high school years of lead character Carrie Bradshaw, played by . When Bushnell was asked who she'd like to see step into Parker's shoes, the author said, "I don't know...Miley Cyrus!"

In the meantime, Miley had previously revealed her secret ambition to star in a softer version of "Sex and The City," telling TV Guide magazine, "I'd love to do a younger, cleaner version of 'Sex and The City'". She expressed her love for the show, though her parents initially noted she watched the TBS, watered-down version of the program.
