Young mom Jamie Lynn Spears is reportedly at the center of a child pornography scandal after a picture of her breastfeeding daughter Maddie was stolen from a Louisiana-area Wal-Mart. And the leaked photograph is said to have caused an illegal pornography investigation by U.S. authorities.
According to TMZ, the pictures, one of which captured Jamie's exposed left breast as she was breastfeeding her first child, were taken on her fiance Casey Aldridge's digital camera. And the trouble started when Casey took the camera memory card to his local Wal-Mart in Louisiana for copies. Cops believe an employee of the store may have made extra copies and then tried to sell them.
Now the authorities are reportedly hunting for a man claimed to be attempting to sell the pictures as well as the employee who has sold them. And because the 17-year-old Spears is under 18, selling the photos or purchasing them, could constitute a violation of federal child pornography laws.
TMZ reported that Britney Spears' lawyers are thinking about going after Wal-Mart for the alleged security breach. About the case, Wal-Mart told TMZ, "We saw the story on the wires and it's news to us too. We'll of course investigate what, if anything, has happened here."
