Eva Mendes Not Ashamed to Bare AllAfter having her ad for Calvin Klein's perfume "Secret Obsession" being banned in several U.S. televisions because it is condemned too sexy, said that she is not ashamed to bare all in raunchy pose. She even stated that the U.S. government must not too quick to censor nudity.

"I love my country, but I believe that we are too quick to censor nudity," Eva told the Spanish edition of Vogue for its November 2008 issue. She added, "we seem okay with violence, but nudity we race to criticize and censor. I'm not at all ashamed or frightened about showing my body."

However, when she was asked how she feels about being considered as a sex object, Eva replied, "I love it, but it's not important to me to always be thought of as sexy." Having no problem with the predicate as long as it doesn't limit her career, she argued, "I like it when it doesn't limit my career. It's a part of my life, but on a secondary plane."

About her sexy figure, Eva credited diet and exercise to have shaped her slim body. "I try not to go crazy, but yes, I pay attention to what I eat," she admitted. "I try to stay away from pasta, bread, cakes, sweets, cookies and ice cream."

Although several U.S. televisions have banned Eva's Calvin Klein perfume commercial, it appeared that the same ad on billboard is not banned at all. On October 2, the billboard ad to promote the same perfume, which showed her naked body, has been displayed on the corner of Houston and Lafayette Streets.
