Keira Knightley Only Does Necessary Nudity

Keira Knightley may be the actress who doesn't want to bare her skin for no reason. The 23-year-old British beauty revealed she will only do nude scenes if they are necessary.

Keira plays Georgiana, the Duchess of Devonshire, who was the distant relative to the late Princess Diana, in new movie "The Duchess". She flashes the flesh in the flick based on Amanda Foreman's best-selling biography of the scandalous, 18th-century English aristocrat Georgiana Cavendish.

But the actress insisted she would not have done the nude scenes if she didn't feel comfortable with it. "I detest unnecessary nudity and what it says about women in society," the "Pride and Prejudice" starlet explained. "I think you see a lot of films where, oh, yes, the woman gets her (breasts) out again and runs around naked for no reason. And you kind of go, Ugh, do we have to? (laughs.)."

Keira also revealed she refuses to read reviews of her own movies, because they make her depressed and housebound for days. "Unless I'm unfortunate enough to catch something by accident, which happens, and it's always a bad review," she said. "Always, it's amazing. I will be sitting in a cafe, and I will open a random paper right to the page of the review. And then you're sucked in and go home and never want to go out again."
