Following her success as a solo singer, Selena Gomez recently confessed that she wants to expand her music career, forming a band. As for finding potential members of the upcoming band, the teen sensation revealed that she will hold auditions to look for her band's members.
"We plan on holding auditions in Hollywood," Selena told gossip website Blogamole when she was asked about how she finds potential members of her band. Revealing the reason why she decided to form a band, Selena stated, "I am so blessed, I really am. It's something I have always wanted to do" adding that by forming a band she hopes "to share" her "dream with other people."
Getting herself prepared for her upcoming band, Selena revealed that in the mean time she will be recording "some of the songs" in the studio. "As far as actual band members right now, we do not have any, but it is getting closer and closer and I am really excited to be in the studio," the actress-singer admitted.
Meanwhile, explaining about the recording, the Disney hottie said that she plans to play instruments on some tracks of the album which has pop-rock feel. "I basically want to make music that is fun and that parents and kids can jump around to and have a good time to. I will be singing, and I'm learning drums and playing electric guitar," she said.
As for the name of the band, Selena recently told MTV she doesn't want her name to be attached to the band. "I'm going to be in a band - no Selena Gomez stuff. I'm not going to be a solo artist. I think that I don't want my name attached to it," she went on saying.
