Both Eva Mendes and Jennifer Lopez may be of Latin origin. But the "Ghost Rider" starlet has revealed that she hates being compared to the 39-year-old beauty, who is also known as a singer and fashion designer.
Eva claimed that her career on the silver screen is more serious than Jennifer. The 34-year-old actress has made a name for herself in Hollywood with roles in box office blockbusters like "2 Fast 2 Furious" and "Hitch", while the wife of Marc Anthony has starred in several movies, including "Monster-In-Law" and "Maid in Manhattan". But Eva insisted that she has been more dedicated to acting than J.Lo.
"I would like to think I will have a more serious career than J-Lo. We may both be of Latin origin but that's where the comparisons stop," Eva said. "She manages her career like the head of a big corporation, whereas the only thing I care about is becoming the best actress possible."
Eva next stars in Frank Miller's "The Spirit". It's a film adaptation based on the newspaper strip of the same name. The flick will be released this Christmas and also stars Gabriel Macht, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson.
