There are many superstars who join A-list celebrity supporters of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, and Angelina Jolie is no exception. She told German edition of Vanity Fair that Obama is the type of U.S. president who "would be great for" her beloved family.
"Of course, an American president like Barack Obama would be great for my family," Angelina told the magazine. "Obama is fighting for international justice, he wants to intervene militarily in genocides abroad, and he wants to close down Guantanamo Bay," she gushed when being asked about what she thought about Obama. Furthermore, she credited his struggle for international justice to have made her considering to vote for him.
However, Angelina stated that doesn't mean she would surely vote for Obama in the upcoming presidential election which will be held in November this year. She explained that praising Obama as the type of U.S. president who would be great for her family isn't enough reason to vote for him.
Back in August 2008, Angelina admitted that she had not yet decided about which candidate she will vote for in the election. "I have not decided on a candidate. I am waiting to see the commitments they will make on issues like international justice, refugees and how to address the needs of children in crisis around the world," she went on saying.
Meanwhile, Angelina's love partner Brad Pitt apparently will vote for Obama as he recently was spotted carrying around a notebook, the cover of which featured the Democratic presidential candidate. Besides, it has been reported that Brad was supporting Obama when he was competing with rivals Hillary Clinton and John Edwards to be the presidential candidate from Democratic. This reportedly even created row between him and Angelina because at that time she reportedly was supporting Edwards.
