Following their hectic touring schedule, Jonas Brothers have been set to perform live in a halftime show at the Dallas Cowboys' Thanksgiving Day game. Dallas Cowboys' owner Jerry Jones and The Salvation Army's Lieutenant-Colonel David Jeffrey announced on Sunday, October 12, that the halftime show will be nationally televised and aired on November 27, 2008 at 3:15 P.M. CST.
"There are no other artists more in touch with America's youth than Jonas Brothers," Jerry stated explaining the reason why Jonas Brothers are invited to perform at the game. "So, this is a great chance for us to get the word out about The Salvation Army's vital work to a whole new generation of donors."
Meanwhile, when being asked about their feeling to perform at the Dallas Cowboy, Nick Jonas replied, "I was born in Dallas, which makes performing with my brothers at the Cowboys Halftime on Thanksgiving an incredible honor." His bother Joe Jonas then added, "This year, more than ever, the Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign will make a huge impact for families at Christmas and throughout the year. It's very important for us to give back."
Besides, the oldest brother of the band Kevin Jonas said that he and his brothers are very grateful to be invited to perform at the Dallas Cowboys' game. "We'd like to thank Jerry Jones, the Dallas Cowboys, Israel Gaither, and The Salvation Army for inviting us to be part of this awesome Thanksgiving tradition. We'll remember this for a long time to come," he went on saying.
The pop-rock band will perform songs from their latest album "A Little Bit Longer" at the game which will feature the Dallas Cowboys playing against the Seattle Seahawks. As for them performing at the game, the teen sensations will kick off the 2008 Salvation Army Red Kettle Christmas campaign which continues through December 24 this year.
