Following last week report that she will marry her long-term partner Thomas Starr in July 2009, Melanie C reportedly has asked her pal Victoria Adams to plan for her upcoming wedding. Melanie admired Victoria's skills after seeing Victoria previously planned Katie Holmes and Cheryl Cole's weddings.
A source told the Daily Star that Melanie and Victoria "have become very close since the Spice Girls reunited last year." The source then added, "she knows that Victoria has the contacts and the ideas to make her big day extra special."
However, according to the source, Victoria's role in Melanie's wedding has caused some distance between the rest of Spice Girls' members. "They're all keen to offer advice and assistance, which has caused strong words between some members of the band," the Daily Star quoted the source as saying.
Melanie and Victoria then reportedly decided to invite the other members of the band to be guests rather than bridesmaids because Melanie doesn't feel close enough to them. "But Mel doesn't feel close enough to the band to ask them to be bridesmaids or maids of honor," the source explained. "So she and Victoria have decided all the girls should be invited as guests, rather than giving them special roles."
