Katy Perry has reportedly been blasted for posing with a knife. The "I Kissed a Girl" songstress has posed with a blade for a promotional picture intended for her album artwork. The 23-year-old singer held the blade up to her face in a picture for her album "One of the Boys".
Although Katy's knife photo didn't make the final cut for her LP sleeve, it has emerged on the Internet and made anti-knife campaigners in Britain enraged. Richard Taylor, who has campaigned against knife crime since his son was stabbed to death, told The Sun, "This woman's behavior is unacceptable."
"She must be out of her mind to pose for a picture like this," Richard added. "There is nothing glamorous about knives - they wreck families. Any youngsters seeing her will think it is OK to carry a blade."
Meanwhile, the photo was apparently intended to make Katy looks "edgy". "The knife picture was done to give Katy more of a sexy, harder edge. But in the end it wasn't picked as a main shot for her album or website," revealed sources on the shoot.
