Lil Wayne Welcomes a Baby Boy

A representative for Lil Wayne confirmed that the rapper has already become a father of a boy who was born on Wednesday, October 22, but didn't mention the baby's mother.

As Lil Wayne previously announced at BET Hip-Hop Awards on Sunday, October 19 that his son would be born in few days, his representative confirmed the rapper has already a proud father of a baby boy. The representative stated the baby was born on Wednesday afternoon, October 22 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati.

When being asked about the name of the baby boy, the rep stated the singing sensation has named the son Dwayne Carter III just like his real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. However, the representative did not reveal the identity of the newborn child's mother.

At Sunday's BET Hip-Hop Awards, Wayne announced he would soon have a son, telling the audience during his acceptance speech after being named "Lyricist of the Year," "I got a son about to be born any day now, so shout-out to him. Pray for me." Besides Dwayne Carter III, Wayne also has a daughter, named Reginae Carter, with Antonia Johnson, his high school sweetheart, whom he married in 2004 and divorced two years later.

In addition to the birth news, MediaTakeOut reported Wayne is also expecting a baby with best selling author Karrine Steffans. A source told the gossip website, "First it was Bow Wow's [child], now it's [Lil] Wayne's ... only Maury can find out who the real father is... Assuming she's even pregnant."
