Selena Gomez was snapped attending the launch of UNICEF's 2008 Trick-or-Treat campaign, for which she recently was recruited as its spokesperson, on October 23 at N.Y.C.'s Dylan's Candy Bar.
Showing off her charitable side, Selena Gomez was spotted attending the launch of UNICEF's 2008 Trick-or-Treat campaign at Dylan's Candy Bar in New York City on Thursday, October 23. The Disney cutie joined students of P.S. 3, a local elementary school.
Selena looked beautiful sporting a stunning gray top paired with black trousers. She was also seen posing with all kids for photographers. She even stayed at the Candy Bar to help the students decorate Halloween crafts. According to report, the campaign is aimed to raise money which will be used to help children in need around the world.
Selena previously admitted she was very honored to be UNICEF's spokesperson for the 2008 Trick-or-Treat campaign, saying, "I am extremely excited to be this year's Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF spokesperson. I want to help encourage other kids to make a difference in the world."
About her involvement in the campaign, President and CEO of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF Caryl Stern recently admitted they were "thrilled" to have the teen sensation "be a part" of the campaign. "Young people can relate to Selena, and she is a great role model who we believe will greatly enhance the visibility of the program," Caryl went on saying.
During the campaign, Selena also was interviewed by Twist magazine about her Halloween plans. "I'm going to be June Carter Cash," she said when referring to the costume she is planning to wear for the Halloween. "It's something that's close to my heart because I'm from Texas and [her husband, country legend] Johnny Cash is a really big deal to my grandparents. It's a little tribute to them," she explained her reason to Twist magazine on choosing the costume.
